A love letter to THUG2

Violet Vandal Editionstarted as one skater’s wishlist and turned into a full preservation-and-modding project: rip your own discs, modernize the game to today’s standards, add the quality-of-life tweaks it always needed, and make the whole thing reproducible so anyone can build it from their own copy.

Under the hood it’s a byte-perfect script recompiler, a from-scratch archive toolchain, and a stack of reverse-engineered file formats — so the mods add logic to the engine rather than blindly patching bytes. That work is released as open tools for everyone.

It’s a fan project, made for the love of the game. Not affiliated with Activision or Neversoft, and it hosts no copyrighted game data — you bring your own disc.
